Salbutamol
Salbutamol, also known as Albuterol in some regions, is a fast-acting bronchodilator primarily used to treat respiratory conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and exercise-induced bronchospasm. It works by stimulating beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs, relaxing the airway muscles and improving airflow. Salbutamol is typically administered via an inhaler or nebulizer for quick relief from breathing difficulties, though it is also available in oral and injectable forms.
In the fitness and bodybuilding world, Salbutamol is sometimes used as a fat-loss aid due to its ability to increase thermogenesis and metabolic rate. Similar to Clenbuterol, it promotes fat oxidation while preserving lean muscle mass. However, misuse can lead to side effects such as tremors, increased heart rate, anxiety, headaches, and muscle cramps. It can also strain the cardiovascular system with prolonged or high-dose use. When used for performance or physique enhancement, careful dosing and monitoring are crucial to minimize risks.
